Designed for beginners who want to learn the basics of drawing from life–subjects include both still life options and photographs. We will work on constructive drawing, the illusion of depth and distinguishing complex shapes. We will use a variety of drawing materials including graphite, charcoal, colored pencil, and ink, as well as several types of paper. Topics include: composition, proportion, perspective, value and edge relationships, foreshortening and light/shade. Additional materials fee: $25 per person, payable to Newtown Continuing Education via cash or check on the first night of the class. A 10% discount applies.
