Bridging academics and enrichment in partnership with the Newtown Community Center. The program will be held on a weekly basis from June 30th to July 25th, 2025 (concurrent with summer school dates). After your child receives their academic instruction (summer academic support) at Reed Intermediate School, they will be transported over to the Newtown Community Center. They must be enrolled in the Summer Splash program through Newtown Continuing Education to receive transporation.
At the Community Center, children will enjoy a camp-like day of art activities, swimming, sports, and outdoor play! This program allows students the opportunity to receive their summer academic support, while also attending a camp-like experience that they may otherwise not have the opportunity to attend, and allows parents more flexibility in their schedule. The program is held through 4PM daily, 4 days a week during the summer academic enrichment days.
This year's Friday option is included in the tuition. Please be sure to let us know if you will be needing Fridays for the purpose of proper staffing and the arrangement of supplies. If your child is not registered for Friday care, they will not be anticipated to attend.
*Please note, there is a $15 cancellation fee for cancellations with at least 2 weeks' notice, per week cancelled. There are no refunds and or credits for sick days and or unattended days.
