Chess is one of the oldest and most famous games in the world. The game teaches patience, concentration and strategy. The purpose of this course is to present basic rules and strategies for this fantastic game. The first session will introduce the chessboard, chess pieces and how they move around the board.  The subsequent sessions will focus on strategies for controlling the center of the board.  We will learn some of the famous openings, including Ruy Lopez, The French Defense and the Queen’s Gambit.  Tactics, such as forks and pins will be the focus.  A 10% discount applies.
